Vision

Informed by and responsive to the Afrikan concept of “Ubuntu”, the Dr. Rufus Burrow Jr. Black Church Leadership Program is committed to providing learning experiences for faith-based leaders who are committed to the realization of humanity’s ontological vocation.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower faith-based ethical leaders who are called by the One to serve as a transformative presence in urgent social situations, particularly those affecting marginalized communities. Grounded in the prophetic tradition and liberation theology, we achieve this by equipping, engaging, and advocating for inclusion and equity, recognizing the inherent value of all persons.

Value Statement

We at Dr. Rufus Burrow Jr. Black Church Leadership Program value the ethical and equitable treatment of human-beings and the care and responsible stewardship of creation. Respect, inclusion, and acknowledgment of the unique attributes and historical experiences of all human beings drive our culture. We advocate for transparent policies, processes, and procedures that encourage rich, authentic and energized engagement of all.

Welcome to the Dr. Rufus Burrow Jr. Black Church Leadership Program
